Description
The annual FGM Committee of Experts Meeting will be held on November 19-20 in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott. The meeting is organized by the International Planned Parenthood Federation – Arab World Region (IPPF-AWR) and the Mauritanian Association for Family Promotion (a member of IPPF).
The meeting will address several key topics and priorities, including IPPF global vision on FGM, the global scientific approach for FGM programming, the framework to accelerate the eliminationof FGM: Priorities for acceleration, tools needed to support FGM programming, , and 2025 Work plan according to the identified priorities.
Additionally, the meeting will feature testimonies from survivors of FGM, as well as the presentation of the IPPF and CAWTAR digital platform, " To end FGM : Arab boys and men speak out ».
