Description
In August 2024, UNICEF and
the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) published their annual report on
combating female genital mutilation (FGM), which includes data confirming the
involvement of men and boys in opposing the practice. The joint program
established an indicator to measure the engagement of men and boys in advocating
for the reduction of the phenomenon, which has been surpassed by a significant
margin, demonstrating their active commitment to opposing the practice.
